Past September 19th, a new shopping centre was opened in Valladolid: Río Shopping, the largest in the Autonomous Community of Castile and León and the sixth largest in Spain.
The investment made in order to bring the project to fruition amounted to EUR €200 million. 1,600 direct jobs and 400 indirect jobs have been created, to which we must add the 2,400 jobs generated during the construction process.
So far, including IKEA, the shopping centre boasts a total of 124 open venues, 107 of which are shops, 16 cafeterias and restaurants, and roughly ten cinema screens seating 1,700 viewers.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a EUR 200 million loan to Banco Popular for financing the investment projects of small and medium-sized businesses, mainly in the industry and service sectors. Read more
