The Middle East - Increasingly important for Siemens

Publicerat av Cecilia Helland Monday, 20 August 2012.

The Gulf countries are among the fastest growing economies in the world and have great demands on infrastructure investments which are driving the demand in the region.

Economic opportunities exist; there are strong crude oil prices and production levels that provide economic opportunities for the region to develop.

Siemens has received an increased number of missions in the Middle East and the region is becoming increasingly important for the company's orders, where Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates stand out.

The region has a rapidly growing population and the need to create new jobs results in an increasing demand for energy-efficient and effective solutions. The company is currently involved in many tender solutions in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Libya. Siemens has had an exposure in the region for over 150 years.
