The EU and the U.S. currently identify opportunities to increase trade in order to promote jobs, growth and international competitiveness, according to the Board of Trade.
A joint working group has been asked to evaluate a wide range of policy areas where rules and measures currently affect trade.
The working group is led by the EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht and the U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk.
They investigate various possible solutions, such as enhanced cooperation and trade negotiations and welcomes new ideas and suggestions from interested parties.
