Property tax investigated in India

Property tax investigated in India

Publicerat av Tony Harkén Saturday, 10 March 2012.

A proposal regarding property tax is now in focus in India where specified assets should be taxed at 1 percent of the value.

Assets include cash in foreign banks, art, jewelry, cars, boats and airplanes, for example, and property tax is seen as an initiative by the government to expose black money.

In contrast, no property tax will be levied on land, houses, commercial premises or real property rented out at least 300 days per year.
