In 2015, Chinese foreign investments will reach 500 billion U.S. dollars, a scenario that means business opportunities for companies worldwide.
A country that already has 148 million U.S. dollars invested by China is Ireland, and more money will be invested since a joint investment group has been formed to promote employment, entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Chinese government will continue to encourage Chinese companies to invest in Ireland. In addition to traditional industries, the country is focusing on high technology, IT and pharmaceuticals.
Today, an estimated 250 Irish companies are active in China where 130 of them have offices in the country, compared to 40 five years ago.
